SFC Zaradich was born in Merriville, Indiana. He enlisted into the US Army Infantry in September 2005 and graduated OSUT at Fort Benning, GA in January of 2006.

SFC Zaradich’s assignments include Killer Troop, 2d Squadron 2d Stryker Calvary Regiment in Vilseck, Germany; Bushmaster Co, 2-327th IN, 1st BCT, 101st Airborne Division, Fort Campbell, Kentucky; A Co, 1-38IN, 4th BCT, 2ID, Fort Lewis, Washington; C Co, 3-21IN, 1st SBCT, 25th ID, Fort Wainwright, Alaska; Charlie Company, 2nd Battalion, 60th Infantry training Battalion, Fort Jackson, South Carolina; Charlie Company, 1-41 IN, 2nd Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 4th ID, Fort Carson, Colorado. SFC Zaradich has multiple deployments in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom for a total of 36 months.

SFC Zaradich’s conviction to personal excellence is evident through his pursuit of various broadening assignments that strengthened his direct and operational abilities as an Infantry leader while under any assignment. He continued to positively impact those around him to be a better version of themselves which led to him being selected over his peers to serve as a First Sergeant of a Rifle Company during his last assignment before being selected to continue his influence in future leaders at UVA.
