The Cavalier Battalion has enjoyed some incredible success over the past few years.

  • Our Ranger Challenge team won first place in the small programs category at 4th Brigade's 2023 Ranger Challenge competition.
  • We had three of our 12 current MSIV cadets earn the title of Distinguished Military Graduate (DMG) based on their ranking in the top 15% of Army ROTC cadets nationally.
  • 2LT Emily Kasky (Commissioned 2023) was a Fulbright Scholar and just returned from a year teaching English in Eastern Europe.
  • Numerous cadets have attended Air Assault School, gone to Army internships, or done Sage-Eagle, and many cadets are studying critical languages such as Chinese, Arabic, and Russian.

In order to continue this success, we need the support of our alumni. By making a financial contribution to the Cavalier Battalion, you are helping to increase opportunities for cadets at UVA. Donations will help fund the Cadet Association that serves to enhance our training and build esprit de corps for the Cavalier Battalion. The Cadet Association also sponsors team-building activities such as the Army 10-miler, the Ranger Challenge Team, Rainey’s Rangers, sending teams to the Ranger Buddy competition, and more.

A donation to the Cavalier Battalion will also help us continue to build our alumni network. Your contributions will fund the Annual Military Appreciation Game tailgate, reunions, the website, and other alumni communications.
